A hardtop gazebo is the structure to choose when you want a roof that stays up all year. This one pairs a single hip roof of galvanized steel panels with a powder-coated aluminum frame, so the roof sheds rain and snow while the frame never rusts. Beige polyester curtains run on a track under the eaves; tie them back at the posts or draw them closed for shade and privacy.

Assembly: at least two adults (three makes roof lifting easier), two ladders and a drill; plan on 6 – 9 hours. The roof is assembled at ground level in sections and lifted onto the frame. Hardware is bagged and numbered to the manual.
Care: wash the roof and frame with mild soap and water. Take the curtains down for winter and machine-wash them cold on a gentle cycle; air dry. Clear heavy snow from the roof with a soft roof rake.
